Last week, we talked about the bond between the Fairy King, Harlequin and his crush, Diane. In this week’s article, let’s look at another memorable couple from the anime. It’s the fan-favorite Ban and his love, Elaine!
Retelling the love story between Bandit Ban and the Holy Maiden of the Fountain of Youth!
A throwback to the time when they first met, Elaine: Guarding the Spring allows you to switch a card from your hand with the top card of your deck if it is a 《Britannia》 character. If you revealed a climax or event card instead, you can still pay the cost to draw it – very handy for finding your key event cards or climax combos.
Unfortunately, their time together is cut short when they encounter a demon who sets the Fairy King’s Forest on fire. Ban: Facing a Demon and Elaine: Facing a Demon both work with the Fountain of Youth for different effects!
Ban: Facing a Demon’s Climax Combo deals 3 damage to your opponent when its battle opponent becomes defeated in battle while Elaine: Facing a Demon’s Climax Combo allows you to pick a 《Britannia》 character from the top 4 cards of your deck, and add it into your hand. No matter when you draw this climax, it will definitely help you!
After Elaine’s death, Ban is willing to do anything to get her back. With Ban: For a Special Someone, you can look at the top card of your deck, with the option to return it back on the top of your deck or place it into your waiting room, which can help with deck compression. In addition, when this card becomes REVERSE in battle, you can choose to switch out a card in your hand for a 《Britannia》 character from the top 3 cards in your deck. It is a fitting ability for someone who does not give up easily!
