With effect from Feb. 3, 2025, Weiß Schwarz English Edition will be updating the restriction list to maintain a healthy tournament environment. The following restrictions will apply for all official tournaments:

Despite being a strong deck archetype even after the November 2023 restriction, the archetype fell slightly out of favor with the release of Chainsaw Man in February 2024.

After the August 2024 restrictions, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime saw a strong resurgence across the ongoing Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25 season.

Thanks to the deck having access to both A Throbbing That Signals Freedom, Mjurran and Quiet Anger, Shuna, players are able to create a powerful stage that consistently generates resources from level 2.

Taking into consideration that upcoming releases such as Premium Booster The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials and Booster Pack Rascal Does Not Dream Series have seen great success in the Japanese metagame, we want That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime to stand a fighting chance moving forward. As such, we have opted to reduce the consistency of the deck by adding Ardent Relationship, Youm & Mjurran to the existing choice restriction. Without a direct tutor for A Throbbing That Signals Freedom, Mjurran, we expect Quiet Anger, Shuna will have less opportunities to support Mjurran in her stockpiling endeavors.

A new archetype of The Seven Deadly Sins has seen great success across the ongoing Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25 season. Having access to both Dreyfus: Usual Self and Diane: Wielder of Gideon allowed players to easily push for lethal with Hendrickson: No Longer Human.

While other combinations were considered, we decided to approach this with caution and expand the existing restrictions to include both Dreyfus: Usual Self and Diane: Wielder of Gideon.

With the restriction for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime going into effect, we expect Nazarick: Tomb of the Undead to be the next deck to beat. While we don’t want Ainz to take over the entire meta, we don’t want to shear off too much wool from our goats either. As such, we’re opting to slightly reduce the deck’s consistency by adding choice restrictions for A Return Gift from Shub-Niggurath, True Vampire Ancestor, Shalltear, and Deputy Leader of the Pleiades, Yuri.

Both True Vampire Ancestor, Shalltear and Deputy Leader of the Pleiades, Yuri greatly increase the deck's consistency with their abilities that allow players to draw into their outs from level 1 while also filling out their waiting room with Black Little Goats. With the loss in consistency, we expect Sorcery King, Ainz will be slightly less conquesty.
