With effect from August 22, 2025, Weiß Schwarz English Edition will be updating the restriction list to maintain a healthy tournament environment. The following restrictions will apply for all official tournaments.
Rascal Does Not Dream
Limited (Up to 2 copies)
◆ The Year I Spent With You, Mai Sakurajima (SBY/W114-E049 & SBY/W114-E049OFR & SBY/W114-E049ABR) (New!)
Intern-kun note:
Coming off an extremely dominant showing at the Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25 World Finals, Rascal Does Not Dream Series has continued to prove itself as the deck to beat during the ongoing Bushiroad Summer Fest 2025 circuit.
Similar to a certain shark and devil hunter of yesteryear, The Year I Spent With You, Mai Sakurajima, is one of the most cost-efficient finishers in the game with the potential to close out games from as early as level 2. The new limit will drop the effective lethal range, allowing more space for counterplay.
Thank you Mai, the year we spent with you was fun for us too!
The Seven Deadly Sins
Limited (Up to 2 copies)
◆ Elizabeth: Trust in the Promise (SDS/SX05-001 & SDS/SX05-001SP)(New!)
Intern-kun note:
While we had initially opted for a more cautious approach, The Seven Deadly Sins continues to sit as a prime meta contender, boasting the highest win rate in Bushiroad Summer Fest 2025 thus far (not to mention the title literally won the Bushiroad Championship Series 24/25 World Finals).
With the deck’s late game potential now more or less in check, we’ve turned our eyes to the ultimate resource engine— Elizabeth: Trust in the Promise. Elizabeth: Trust in the Promise has continuously proven to be the best Brainstorm with access to additional retrieval through its climax combo. The one-two punch with Meliodas: Wielder of Lostvayne
allows The Seven Deadly Sins to match most opponents on overall resources going into the late game while also allowing players to effectively manipulate their own deck states for any situation.
A world without her may be too much to bear, but we hope this limit will allow for more experimentation within the title while also bringing the title’s win rate within less egregious margins.
The Quintessential Quintuplets
Choose 1 of 5
◆ Daily Routine, Nino Nakano (& 5HY/W90-E053S)
◆ Important Charm (5HY/W83-E100)
◆ Dozing Off, Ichika Nakano (5HY/W90-E061 & 5HY/W90-E061S)
◆ Love Taking Off, Nino Nakano (5HY/W90-E052 & 5HY/W90-E052SSP) (New!)
◆ Approach With Utmost Effort, Nino Nakano (5HY/WE43-E23 & 5HY/WE43-E23IGP) (New!)
Intern-kun note:
After the release of Premium Booster The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials earlier this year, 8 Standby has seen a resurgence both in terms of play rate and win rate. With the other two top meta contenders taking Ls, we expect these rates to take off too.
Thanks to the deck having access to Approach With Utmost Effort, Nino Nakano, players are able to easily set up their waiting rooms for Standby from the get go. Love Taking Off, Nino Nakano
further compounds any minor advantage by increasing the likelihood of Standby triggers in the mid to late game.
Taking into consideration releases such as Booster Pack MyGO!!!!! × Ave Mujica, we want to approach this restriction with utmost care, so we’re adding both Approach With Utmost Effort, Nino Nakano and Love Taking Off, Nino Nakano
, to the existing choice restrictions.
Date A Live

Who says we can’t enjoy a spring moment in summer? Both “For the Sky and the Sword” Tohka and A Spring Moment, Yoshino
are hereby free spirits!
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
Unrestricted
◆ Supreme Bliss, Chika (KGL/S79-E001 & KGL/S79-E001SP)

Watch List
In this new section, we also wanted to highlight titles that largely fall into one of two categories:
- Not currently problematic, but possibly unhealthy for future tournament environment health
- Play rate or win rate is concerning for overall tournament environment health
GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE
Don’t you ever wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve left them? Well, you heard it here first. GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE is currently experiencing the good old days with an extremely high play rate and a variety of viable archetypes. That said, the overall win rate of the title is currently on the lower end, so we’ll continue to monitor the situation in case the light reflects too strongly in our eyes.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
The previous round of restrictions seem to have done its job in signaling freedom for other decks to shine. The current play rate and win rate of the title are within acceptable ranges, but with this round of restrictions, we’ll continue to keep an eye on this title for just a bit longer.
We will continue to monitor tournament statistics in the coming months to ensure the tournament environment remains healthy.
