Interview with the Bushiroad World Championship 2015 Continental Finals Champions (Asia-Oceania)

With the recent completion of the Bushiroad World Championship 2015(BWC 2015) Asia-Oceania Continental Finals in Singapore, BWC 2015 is now left with the World Finals, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan. BWC 2015 will feature some of the world’s best Weiss Schwarz Meister, and among them is Lam Nguyen, a Weiss Schwarz Meisters from Australia. Lam successfully fought his way to the title of BWC 2015 Asia-Oceania champion and we had the privilege to interview him.

Lam Ngyuen is a 20 year old Weiss Schwarz Meister from Melbourne, Australia. He loves playing PC game, reading manga and watching anime.

Lam’s deck for BWC 2015 Asia-Oceania Continental Finals

— How long have you been playing Weiss Schwarz? How did you start playing Weiss Schwarz?

I’ve been playing Weiss Schwarz since 2012. I first heard about it from the TCG club in my school. I joined my friends to visit a local card store called Nekocard and found out about this game. The first trial deck I bought was Milky Holmes (Japanese edition).

— What do you enjoy about Weiss Schwarz?

I like how skill and luck are both important in this game. You have to plan your strategy to make your deck cancel more and meanwhile, think of a way to finish your opponent before they do.

— Which is your favorite title in Weiss Schwarz English Edition?

I like Fairy Tail because I really love the anime!

— Do you have a favorite card in Weiss Schwarz English Edition?

I would say Anti-Titan Device “Omni-Directional Mobility Gear”. It is almost a guarantee for one of your characters to survive and you get to search for a card. Most importantly, you can choose to use it on either player’s turn, which makes it really flexible to use.

— How do you feel about your results in the Bushiroad World Championship 2015?

I feel great and am satisfied with it.

— Do you have any word of advice for new players who want to play better?

Try to have fun. That’s how you start enjoying the game!

We wish Lam, as well as the other participants for the World Finals, all the best and we hope they will have a great time in Tokyo!
